We are in the end stages of developing and testing a Whole Blood course training.

This training is for pre-hospital providers, and goes through the identification, treatment, and resuscitation of the emergently bleeding patient in the prehospital system.

One participant in a pilot course said the most useful skills learned were:
1) Discussion of PPV for patients in shock and possible poor outcomes.
2) Broad overview of oxygen delivery and going over how we can change our care to best help the patient.
3) Going through the specific guideline on who will be a candidate for blood.
